Participation

HochX is a place of encounter and dialogue. We invite you to come and talk to us – whether you are visiting us for the first time or are a long-time HochX guest.

In various formats we – artists and audience, the HochX team, neighbors and many more – come together and exchange ideas. There are also workshops for children and teenagers that allow them to engage with our plays in a playful and practical way.

TUSCH – Theater and School

Since 2021, HochX has been part of TUSCH Munich in close cooperation with Koop3*. TUSCH – Theater and School brings Munich theaters and schools together in a two-year partnership. In a lively exchange, pupils and theater professionals meet, try things out together, attend plays and develop a unique theater production together. The pupils become critics, players and theater makers on and behind the stage and experience the diversity of Munich’s theater scene, from state and municipal theater to the independent scene and from spoken word, dance and musical theater to performance.

From 2021 to 2043, the Tagesheim an der Hochstraße (primary and secondary school) was our partner, and since 2025 we have been in a TUSCH partnership with the Wilhelm-Röntgen-Realschule.

*Koop3 is a merger of the three Munich children’s and youth theater groups Altenbach + Honsel, Theater Kunstdünger and compagnie nik.

Program and offers for kindergartens and schools

Would you like to visit HochX with your school class or kindergarten group? Then please contact us by e-mail! Every month we present a program for young audiences with morning performances exclusively for kindergarten and school classes. In addition, we offer introductions or follow-up discussions with the artists and short workshops for individual performances.

At HochX you can experience the whole spectrum of stage art: our program includes theater, dance, music, contemporary circus, and puppet and object theater for children and young people. Many of the performing theater groups also offer accompanying materials and workshops for their plays, and are happy to come to your class or group to prepare and follow up on the play.
