Tickets

Persons with disabilities will receive a free ticket for their accompanying person. Please contact reservierung@theater-hochx.de for your tickets.

Getting to the theatre

Unfortunately we cannot provide our own parking zones. The closest disabled parking is located 100m from HochX at Entenbachstr. 25.

The subway station Kolumbusplatz is 200m from HochX and is equipped with an elevator.

The main entrance to HochX is located at Entenbachstraße and can be accessed via portable wheelchair ramps. In addition, HochX can be accessed from Falkenstraße without ramps, upon advance notice. Please contact us at info@hochx.de.

Spaces

The foyer and the theater hall are accessible for people with impaired mobility. We provide a minimum of two wheelchair spots. Please find more detailed informations on accessibility at the info page about the specific performance you are interested in.

Information for artists: Unfortunately, our stage and backstage areas, as well as our rehearsal venue at Auenstraße, can only provide limited accessibility for wheelchair users. But the rehearsal venue at Plattform is accessible through an elevator and there is accessible parking as well.

Accessible restroom

Located in the entrance area to HochX, we provide a wheelchair accessible bathroom (door is 1m wide).

Early Boarding

10 minutes before we open the auditorium to the majority of our visitors, we provide early access to all people with visible and invisible disabilities and sensory or physical impairments. Please check in with our staff at the foyer.

Language

Please check our current program information for potential language requirements.

Relaxed Performance

Selected events will be offered in the format of „Relaxed Performance“ which addresses anyone who feels more at ease in a less formal environment. The auditorium will not be completely dark, there will be no abrupt changes in lighting or loud sounds. The audience is explicitly permitted to move around and make noise. Sometimes there will be alternative seating modalities, e.g. bean bags, sofas etc. Feel free to take a break and come back to the room any time!

Please check our program for current information on Relaxed Performances.

Audio description and Haptic Access Tour

For selected performances we are able to provide a live audio description for the blind or visually impaired. Additionally, we offer a haptic access tour enabling blind visitors and visitors with visual impairments to touch costume elements or stage decorations for a multi-sensory experience.

Please check our program for current information on events that encompass an Audio description and Haptic Access Tour.

Surtitles and Sign Language

For selected performances we offer surtitles or simultaneous interpreting in German Sign Language to the deaf or hearing-impaired.

Please check our program for current information on events equipped with surtitles/sign language.
